Learning to love myself

𝚄𝚗𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚎𝚍. 𝙽𝚘 𝙼𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚞𝚙. 𝙳𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚢 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚜. 𝚄𝚗𝚋𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚑𝚎𝚍 𝙷𝚊𝚒𝚛. 𝚁𝚎𝚍𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜. 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙴𝚢𝚎𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚜..

Because sometimes we just need a breather and a fresh dose of ℝ𝔼𝔸𝕃𝕀𝕋𝕐 here on IG.

Sure, I only ever wear eye makeup.. no foundation or anything else, but I 𝙰𝙻𝚆𝙰𝚈𝚂 put a filter on. I don’t use apps like Facetune or whatever else there may be to change my face shape or body, but I will remove a zit from my pics if there is one.

Feeling like I need to keep up a certain appearance to look a certain way is something I have always struggled with.

Most days I look like a homeless bum.
Most days I don’t brush my hair.
Almost always do my children dress better than me, but that’s because ALL my time and ALL my days go to them.

I put all of my energy into them and making sure they’re ok.

That’s just being a mom. Motherhood is HARD!

It is the most selfless act you can ever do.

People get frustrated because is mommy’s ‘never know what we want’, but it’s because we are always doing what our children want.. getting our babes what the my need.

We are people pleasers.

But sometimes (all the time really!) we need to practice self love.

I have to remind myself daily that self care isn’t selfish!

We deserve a moment to ourselves.

We deserve nice things.

We deserve all the things that we give our family.

Having this community has given me confidence. It has built me up more than I ever expected.

I feel so blessed because as I set out to help motivate and strengthen y’all, I have strengthened myself.

It has given me a voice. Helped me feel empowered. It has given me confidence.

And it is all because of you.

So thank you! Thank you for caring what I have to say.

Thank you for all of your support through the good and bad.

Thank you for sticking by my side when people tried to destroy me.

Thank you for loving me and my family!
